Screenprint memories – test day

Today myself (Sam), John and Hannah had a crack at screenprinting some of the cinema memories that John had collected in the past week. We did this both to prepare for the upcoming screenprint workshop with Ebony Arts group on Thursday, but also so we could give some of the contributors so far their memories back as posters.

It’s tricky getting the hang of it, and takes a while to prepare your screen, but once you start, screenprinting is good fun and very satisfying. We cheated a little bit by using a robocutter and vinyl to make our stencils, but it simply means we can get straight onto the fun bit – the printing!

The memories we printed today concerned 3D cinema (“its boss!”), The Exorcist (“people were blessing themselves”) and a strange usher (“with a Wolf Glove!”)
